Prices change and many companies run short promotions; always check the current price on their site. Target Test Prep, Kaplan and The Princeton Review also offer GRE prep, but we couldn't verify their current prices from their pages, so they aren't in the table.

## Which suits you

* You want lessons and a big question bank at a low price: Magoosh and PrepScholar both offer long access for under $130, with video lessons and study plans.
* You want live teaching or a tutor: Manhattan Prep's live course and tutoring are the fullest option here, at a much higher price.
* You want the official feel before test day: take the free ETS POWERPREP tests whatever else you use.
* You want lots of full-length, timed practice with the essay marked, for a short, fixed cost: that is what topin is built around.

Score guarantees differ a lot. Magoosh, PrepScholar and Manhattan Prep all offer one, each with conditions on their sites, such as having an earlier official score or finishing the course. topin doesn't offer a score guarantee.

What is the cheapest full GRE prep?

On 29 September 2026, PrepScholar listed one year of access for $38 and Magoosh listed one month for $99\. topin's GRE pass starts at $19 for one month. The free ETS POWERPREP tests cost nothing.

Do GRE prep courses include full-length practice tests?

Most do, in very different numbers: from 2 official tests at PrepScholar to 13 at Manhattan Prep. topin includes 8 in the shorter-GRE format.

Is a subscription or a one-time pass better for GRE prep?

If your test date is fixed, a one-time pass for the months you need usually costs less. Magoosh, Manhattan Prep's Interact and topin are one-time purchases that don't renew.
